Wormico started with a simple curiosity.

 

Back in February 2022, I bought my first worm farm and was amazed to discover that everyday food scraps and cardboard could be transformed into rich compost by worms. What began as a small sustainability experiment quickly turned into a passion.

 

As I continued composting, I ran into common problems — smells, pests, mess, harvesting castings and systems that weren’t ideal for small living spaces. After researching and speaking with others, I realised many people were experiencing the same frustrations.

 

That’s when I started designing and building my own solution.

 

Through hands-on testing, prototyping, and constant improvement, the Wormico Tower was created — a compact, user-friendly worm composting system designed specifically for apartments, balconies, and modern living.

 

Along the way, I also realised its potential as a hands-on learning tool for schools and classrooms, helping students understand sustainability, biology, and how waste can be transformed into something valuable.

 

Why do I do it? Because I genuinely enjoy building things that solve real problems, and because worms are incredible at what they do. Turning waste into something that helps plants thrive is pretty amazing — and I believe composting should be simple and accessible for everyone.

 

Wormico is still evolving, and every prototype brings it one step closer to making sustainable living easier for households everywhere.
